Robert formed ShurPointe, Ltd. to help small business owners achieve greater success.  Robert encourages clients to focus on what they are good at and leverage those strengths into profits.  Successful entrepreneurs overwhelmingly agree that their time is better spent utilizing their strengths to find new ways to profit than trying to interpret the Internal Revenue Code or preparing periodic bookkeeping or tax filings.

Robert began his professional career with an international "Big Six" Certified Public Accounting (CPA) firm regarded at the time as one of the largest accounting firms in the world.  Robert performed a wide variety of accounting and tax services for a very diverse client base.  While there, Robert gained his CPA license* and substantial experience in accounting, auditing, taxation, and consulting.

Robert then formed a consulting company that worked exclusively with small businesses.  A small sampling of common services performed included business plans, planning, budgets, forecasts, break-even and return-on-investment analysis, business entity assistance, franchise analysis, demographic studies, cash flow analysis, and lease vs. buy analysis.  In addition, he also provided the traditional bookkeeping, accounting, and taxation services small businesses require.

After concluding a large long-term consulting project, Robert dissolved the consulting practice to help a medium sized business through a transitional period as a Corporate Controller.  This experience helped Robert to confirm that his true passion was serving multiple dynamic businesses as opposed to working on only one business everyday.

Robert then resumed his career in public accounting* with a regional sized CPA firm.  After a partnership was offered, Robert decided to form ShurPointe, Ltd. to focus almost exclusively on small to medium sized businesses.
